Ethiopia: 8 people killed as wall collapses amidst heavy rains

(SomaliNet) A heavy down pour which brought down a four-metre-tall wall left at least eight people, including five children dead, local press reported on Saturday.
The tragedy took place in a crowded housing colony in the impoverished district of Kolfe-Keranyo in the capital.
A bout a dozen injured people were rescued by the City Fire Department and Emergency Service.
Mean while, a fire that erupted when the wall collapsed was extinguished by fire fighters, but caused damage to property estimated at 200,000 birr ($23,100).
