Trade delegation going to Italy
The Ethiopian Minister of Industry and Trade, Girma Biru, and the head of the Ethiopian Investment Authority (EIA), Abdi Wolde Meskel, are to go to Italy at the end of may to speak at two conferences on promoting investment in their country, organised by the Italian employers’ association, Assafrica & Mediterraneo.

Addis wants its Nile Watter
The ten Member States of the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI, comprising the countries which the Nile flows through) have managed to agree on the majority of the key issues in order to replace the agreement dating from colonial times which gave Egypt a dominant control over the waters of the Nile.
