Dermot Ahern to meet Ethiopian PM over political crisis

The Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs is to meet with the Ethiopian Prime Minister to discuss an ongoing political crisis in the country. Dermot Ahern met with a group of political prisoners yesterday who were jailed after Ethiopia‘s elections last year. The prisoners - who are opposition party leaders - claim the elections were rigged.There is growing concern that this political stalemate is affecting how Irish aid is being spent in Ethiopia. Minister Ahern said it is a worrying situation.
