Horn of Africa Communities in the UK held a mass demonstration

Thousands of the People of Ogaden, Somalis, Eritrean, Oromo and other troubled nations of the people of horn of Africa joined a protest in London’s Downing Street against the U.K and USA aid to the Ethiopian Government.

Protesters waved hundreds of the Flags of Ogaden, Somalia, Oromo and Eritrean. Some of the 600 placards calling for Unity against the Ethiopian violent behavior were

STOP THE RAPING OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN OGADEN,
STOP THE BURNING OF VILLAGES IN OGADEN
BROWN: PLEASE INTERVENE IN THE PLIGHT OF THE OGADEN PEOPLE
WHY ONE RULE FOR DARFUR AND ANOTHER FOR OGADEN?

U.S.A AND UK MUST STOP SPONSORING THE ETHIOPIAN REGIME
END THE USA'S PROXY WAR IN SOMALIA
LEAVE SOMALIA FOR SOMALIS

ETHIOPIA: GET OUT OF ERITREA’S TERRITORY
RELEASE OROMO PRISONERS
HORN OF AFRICA UNITED AGAINST THE BARBARIC REGIME IN ETHIOPIA.

The event aimed to explain the views of the people of Horn of Africa towards the atrocities committed by the Ethiopian Prime Minister and his merciless Soldiers who massacred thousands of innocent people in Ogaden and Somalia, the destruction of hundreds of villages in Ogaden and Gambella, the imprisonments, torture and killing of Oromo people and the illegal occupation of Somalia and the Eritrean sovereign territory.

Masses of demonstrators travelled from all over the England cities arrived at the rally called The Horn of Africa United for Peace and Stability which started peacefully at 12:00 GMT on Wednesday.

Representatives from the Horn of Africa United for Peace and Stability handed the appeal letter to the Prime Minister and talked to the Foreign Office desk officials. Among them Mohamed, Maryama and Abdi were the Ogaden representatives.

Kowsar Bedel one of the Ogaden organisers said “We demand that the British Government to intervene urgently in the plight of Ogaden and stop the unconditioned aid to the Ethiopian government that allows him to butcher more and more Ogaden people and the people of horn of Africa”.

The British Government officials who acknowledged to the representatives of Ogaden that the Ogaden needs political solutions than the food security said “they are aware of the current situations in Ogaden and trying to persuade the Ethiopian government to allow food aid to enter Ogaden”.

The event was very successful and was organized by the Horn Of Africa Peace and Stability forum, a youth Organizations consisting of Ogaden Students Forum, Somali Youth, Eritrean Youth and Oromo youth in the UK.
