Somalia: At least 40 died in clashes re-started in Mogadishu

23 March, 06 ( Sh.M.Network) More than 40 died, 90 wounded in heavy clashes still taking place in North Mogadishu.

Most died people are the militias of the both sides who are fighting at desert area outskirts in Mogadishu, but the huge weapons which are used by the two-sides are landing at parts in the city, where many civilians and their houses are effected.

The clashes re-started early this morning, after stopped last night, while the biggest hospitals in Mogadishu are filled with wounded people.

The heavy fighting is between militiamen loyal to businessman Abukar Omar Caddaan who supports The United Courts in Mogadishu and also the militias of Businessman Bashir Rage who is a member of The Counter-terrorism alliance in Mogadishu.

The fighting extends

Reports say that the fighting reached Wahar-Adde and still extending to other parts in Mogadishu, where hundreds of families are fleeing. The militiamen loyal to Abukar Omar Addaan have confiscated Yesterday 4-armed vehicles from the militias of Bashir Rage.

Heavy weapons including anti-aircraft missiles are used by the militias of both sides who are still fighting.

Spokesman of The Counter-terrorism alliance in Mogadishu Hussein Gutale told Shabelle that all the members of the Alliance are taking part the fighting and launching attacks against businessman Abukar Omar, while the The United Courts in Mogadishu have denied any involvement in the fighting.

But the spokesman added that the fighting are being taken part by what he described United courts who give shelter to the terrorists in the country.
