Sad sunshine in Ethiopia
According to several journalists and bloggers the atrocities of the regime are piling up during the previous two weeks. They are just not capable of solving problems in a humane and proper way.
A young school boy was shot dead and his family intimidated not to press charges. Oromo festival visitors have been being humiliated and intimidated. New ethnic clashes and murders are instigated by the cadres and asra ant. We all know that these are the last death spasms of the current criminal government but it makes your blood cook and at the same time so sad.
Now that the sun is shining from dawn till nightfall I would have liked to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But it seems that the more obvious it is starting to become that we are dealing with ruthless gang members, the less they are doing to hide their real mentality. Maybe there is truth in the words of Legesse’the name thief’ Zenawi, crime minister, that they came by the gun and anyone who wants to take over has to do it by the gun. They become more shameless by the day.
The control in the streets is immense. Every Addis Ababa street is patrolled by tens of soldiers. Most of them on foot and unarmed but they are backed up by heavily armed federalis in pickup trucks. All secondary schools have all day surveillance, and spies and traitors are omnipresent.
But all this vulgar show-off can only mean one thing. They are convinced that the end will come and that by now only brute force will prevent us from victory.Despite their empty phrases and promises that they have made at their party conferences. They know they are hated and by now they know that international support is crumbling away. The humiliation of Legesse ‘ the name thief ’ Zenawi, crime minister, was a hard blow in the face. The man is renowned for his vanity, so he must have had some bad days. Sadly enough he is not capable of learning his lesson from it. The Ethiopian people has to suffer more than necessary because of it.
