Mogadishu, June 20, (BNA) Leader of Islamic Courts Coalition in Somalia, Shaikh Shareef Shaikh Ahmed, called on Arab and African countries to exert pressure on Somali President, Abdullah Yousef, to dissuade him from bringing foreign peace keeping forces in the country. He asserted that Somali people are no longer in need for foreign forces but for negotiations between all factions in order to achieve the national reconciliation, adding that the Islamic Courts believe in the efficacy of negotiations in solving internal conflicts. Shaikh Shareef said continuous contacts with the Arab League have been conducted from the very beginning, relating to the developments in Somalia.
